Rurii secondary school is a young but a fast growing school which is in its fourth year since it was started. This means that the first group of candidates will sit for their K.C.S.E this year (2012). The school being young and fast growing therefore means that it requires proper strategizing and coming up with the right path to follow so as to become successful in all its endeavours. It is for this reason that the school prepared a strategic plan which will guide the activities it undertakes in the next 5 years from June 2012 to June 2017.
The strategic plan will form part of the reforms intended to improve the general performance of Rurii secondary school with more emphasis on academic performance and service delivery. Successful implementation of the strategic plan is also expected to; improve efficiency in resource management, address equity and gender imbalance and create a conducive environment for students with special needs whenever a case arises. The plan provides a framework for an effective holistic approach in implementing programmes and activities in the education sector. This is in line with the Kenya education sector support programme (K.E.S.S.P). This will ultimately provide an effective and efficient human capital for the Kenyan economy.
